The photojournalists Sandra Balsells and Emilio Morenatti will discuss Ètica i pràctica del fotoperiodisme (Ethics and the profession of photojournalism). The avalanche of today’s news requires truthful, rigorous information, but what are the limits of what we want to show? What is the cost of doing so? What about credibility? THEATRE

El mar. Visión de unos niños que no lo han visto nunca (The sea: A vision of children who have never seen it) written and directed by Xavier Bobés and Alberto Conejero.
This play forms part of a multidisciplinary project (exhibition, documentary and books) started in 2010 by the photographer Sergi Bernal to recover the memory of Antoni Benaiges, a Catalan teacher who came to a small village in Burgos in 1934 with an innovative educational method, promising that he would take his students to see the sea. Benaiges was tragically murdered in July 1936 and his body was buried in an unmarked grave that has still not been identified.
In the 8th edition of the Biennial, we are presenting the project which will be followed and complemented by the theatrical performance.
